MARILLION have confirmed they will play a special show at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday 13th October 2017, with tickets selling out in less than an hour when they went on sale last December!

Commenting on the sold out show, MARILLION said: “We are delighted at the sellout of our forthcoming Royal Albert Hall show next October Friday 13th - Unlucky for some - but apparently not us! It was the fastest selling gig in our 37 year history. If you managed to buy tickets in the short time they were available, well done and thank you. We are looking forward to spending a very special night with you. If you've missed it, we are sorry and share your frustration. Thank you loves”.

The legendary five-piece, whose illustrious back catalogue spans almost 40 years, released their 18th studio album ‘Fuck Everyone And Run’ (F E A R) through earMUSIC in September 2016 – the record entered at No.4 in the official UK charts and saw their highest chart position since ‘Clutching At Straws’ nearly three decades earlier.

Unquestionably one of the biggest influences on the landscape of the UK music scene, the band has evolved into a vibrant and international musical force with a global base of faithful followers. To those who already love Marillion they are something truly special – and to the uninitiated a potential love affair waiting to happen.

As the title of their 2015 behind-the-scenes film documentary, ‘Unconventional’ suggests, MARILLION have regularly broken from tradition and pioneered new ideas including crowd-funding (which they invented!) and have used since the late 1990s, raising well over £1,000,000. In 2001, fans were asked to pre-order ‘Anoraknophobia’ a full 12 months before its release and their latest album F E A R was produced in partnership with crowdfunding website, PledgeMusic. The band also have their own record label and launched the very first rock ‘n’ roll website in the UK.

Discussing their special show in October 2017, frontman Steve Hogarth said, “MARILLION are proud to announce our forthcoming appearance at the Royal Albert Hall, London – the classiest venue in the world, and, for me a life’s ambition realised. Conscious of the venue’s history and having seen one or two first-rate shows there myself, we will make a show worthy of this hallowed space”.

Having written music that draws on almost every musical genre, MARILLION can be considered progressive not just musically but in just about every sense…and they show no signs of slowing down or mellowing as the new album has proved spookily prophetic of the sea-changes in world affairs.

MARILLION are Steve “H” Hogarth (lead vocals), Steve Rothery (lead guitar), Pete Trewavas (bass), Mark Kelly (keyboards) and Ian Mosley (drums).
