FLEA sets September release for ‘Acid For The Children’ Autobiography
16 April 2018He's one of rock's most colorful musicians and dynamic performers, with audiences rarely able to take their eyes off of RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS bassist Flea.
But fans will get a chance to know a little bit more about the man this fall as his long-awaited memoir now has a release date.
Flea has titled the book Acid for the Children and it's on target for a Sept. 25 street date via Grand Central Publishing.
The description for the book reads: “Iconic bassist and co-founder of the immortal Red Hot Chili Peppers finally tells his fascinating life story, complete with all the dizzying highs and the gutter lows you’d expect from an L.A. street rat turned world-famous rock star.”
Back in 2014, Flea shared his intent to finally share his story, promising to document his suburban New York upbringing to his life on the streets of L.A. as a youth. Fans should also expect plenty of insight on his long-running friendship with Anthony Kiedis as co-founders of the group, plus a look at the highs and lows of a sometimes tumultuous career. Flea has also appeared in over 20 films and TV series and founded the Silverlake Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles, giving back to music through education opportunities for aspiring musicians.
