FOREIGNER Guitarist Recovering From Heart Surgery
28 February 2012FOREIGNER guitarist MICK JONES is recovering after urgent heart surgery last week, according to the New York Post.
JONES is reported to have checked into the Mount Sinai Heart Institute in Miami Beach, Florida, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.
Page Six says that after the surgery, JONES was treated in an intensive care ward but was moved out of the specialist unit on Thursday night.
Page Six quotes a source as saying “The surgery was more urgent because Mick had needed it for some time.”
Last year JONES missed several FOREIGNER shows, forcing the band to play with no original members.
JONES sparked fears for his health in 2011, after he fell sick and missed several gigs, including a massive concert with JOURNEY in Los Angeles in October.
A representative for the star refused to confirm the nature of his illness at the time.
