After nearly a decade of reunion gigs, KIM DEAL has had enough with THE PIXIES.

The band released the following statement via their Facebook page:

We are sad to say that Kim Deal has decided to leave the Pixies. We are very proud to have worked with her on and off over the last 25 years. Despite her decision to move on, we will always consider her a member of the Pixies, and her place will always be here for her. We wish her all the best.

The Pixies last performed in late 2011, but recently had a very successful Kickstarter campaign to release the book A Visual History.

Deal has spent her time as of late with The Breeders who are currently celebrating the 20th anniversary of their mainstream breakthrough Last Splash.

No word on who The Pixies will find to replace Deal.
