FALL OUT BOY are set to launch their own version of the viral game FLAPPY BIRD after the original game was removed from app stores by its creator.

The band announced Fall Out Bird yesterday (February 10) via Twitter, writing that the game would be available later this week, "as soon it's approved".

"Shoutout to OG Flappy Bird, RIP", added the band.

The band also tweeted, 'Rome wasn't built in a day, but this game was. in the spirit of Fall Out Boy Trail, we bring you #FallOutBird'.
 
Fall Out Boy Trail was a 2009 version of Oregon Trail, an educational video game used in North American schools.
