Ex-MEST Singer Escaped Murder Charge
29 March 2007Tony Lovato, former frontman of the US pop-punk band Mest which disbanded a year ago, was arrested and charged with murder last Sunday. This followed the death of 25-year-old Wayne Hughes in an underground parking lot in Los Angeles. Lovato is said to have stabbed Hughes, who was dating the singer's ex-girlfriend.
Two days ago Tony was released with the court being satisfied with the explanation that he acted in self-defence.
