After months of rumors, the NFL formally announced today that MAROON 5 will perform at the Super Bowl LIII halftime show in Atlanta on February 3.

Back in September, multiple reports said the Pop band would be the Super Bowl halftime entertainment but there was no official announcement until today. MAROON 5 will be joined by Travis Scott and Atlanta’s own Big Boi, with additional guest artists to be announced.

There have been reports for months that multiple artists had turned down the NFL as a way to support Colin Kaepernick and his treatment by the league. According to Billboard, Scott took the gig by requiring the league make a joint donation with the rapper to a charity. Scott and the NFL are now donating $500,000 to the Dream Corps organization.
