JOE SATRIANI And STEVE VAI Cover METALLICA's 'Enter Sandman'

Joe Satriani and Steve Vai kicked off their joint tour Friday night (March 22) at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida.
The setlist for the show included the first performance of a new collaborative Satriani/Vai song, "The Sea Of Emotion, Pt. 1", along with cover versions of "You Really Got Me" (originally recorded by THE KINKS and later covered by VAN HALEN) and "Enter Sandman" (METALLICA).
Joining Satriani and Vai for the above-mentioned songs were members of Joe's solo band, Rai Thistlethwayte on vocals/guitar, Kenny Aronoff on drums, and Bryan Beller on bass.
The "Satch/Vai" tour is scheduled to run through early May.
The studio version of "The Sea Of Emotion, Pt. 1" will be made available on March 29.
When the "Satch/Vai" trek was first announced last November, Satriani said in a statement: "Every time we play together it takes me back to when we were teenagers, eating and breathing music every second of the day, pushing, challenging and helping each other to be the best we could be. I guess we've never stopped!"
