After the June 2007 annaouncement that they'll reform in their classic line-up for the first time since 1999 to do a bunch of live shows in November and December, Britain's 90's indi rock stars The Verve have confirmed they've been writing new material together.

So far the quartet has composed half a dozen of songs, a.o. "Sit and Wonder", "Mona Lisa", "Judas", "Appalachian Springs" and "Rather Be". However, the long-awaited next full-length CD by Richard Ashcroft, Nick McCabe, Simon Jones and Pete Sailsbury should not be expected before spring 2008.
