Swedish metallers In Flames have issued the following update:

"As you probably know by now, we are currently holed up in IF Studios recording our new album. Things are going very well and we are making steady progress and are on schedule.

"So far 11 drum tracks has been laid down, 6 bass tracks with 4 more to be done over the next days, and we are also working hard with the guitar foundations. So far 7 rhythm guitar tracks are finished and we are about to start with the solos this week.

"Thanks for all your support and we are looking forward to seeing you on the road next year with a brand new album to play you songs from!"
