ANATHEMA

ANATHEMA's latest album 'We're Here Because We're Here' came out on May 31 this year, mixed by Porcupine Tree's Steven Wilson.

The title of the album is taken from a song of the same name that was sung in the Allied trenches of World War 1 to the tune of 'Auld Lang Syne'.
В
This year the boys celebrate their 20th anniversary! It all began back in 1990 in Liverpool when Anathema, along with Paradise Lost helped develop the then new UK death/doom and gothic metal scene. In the mid-90s the band began making more melodic and atmospheric music, which since the turn of the century has been likened to the sound of Pink Floyd, Jeff Buckley and even Radiohead.

ANATHEMA are Tangra Mega Rock's band of the week!
