Here's a nice gaff for sale in San Francisco and the seller of this Sea Cliff abode is none other than longtime METALLICA guitarist Kirk Hammett.

His name does not appear on the deed but if you compare the interiors to those taken during previous tours of Kirk's house it is perfectly clear who the present owner is.

The many framed posters of classic horror films, including no fewer than four of the 1934 Boris Karloff/Bela Lugosi collaboration 'The Black Cat', are part of Kirk's own collection.

There used to be a gruesome zombie dummy which was used in the theater production of 'Day Of The Dead' on display too but that does not appear on these new photos of 320 Sea Cliff, a Spanish Colonial-style house that was listed last month for a whopping $16,000,000, making it the fourth most expensive, publicly listed, home in the entire city.

The 1926 residence is a four-bed, four-and-a-half-bath, three-story building which sits just above China Beach and contains a sweeping spiral staircase.

Immediately next door to Kirk's Sea Cliff home is the neighborhood's other most beautiful home for sale, 308 Sea Cliff, which ties with this one for fourth most expensive list price in the city. Number three is 224 Sea Cliff, just down the street, which asks an incredible $19million plus.

All three homes listed within a few days of each other and all sales are being handled by Pacific Union realtor Mark Levinson.

320 Sea Cliff last sold in 2010 for $8million which when you adjust for inflation, was roughly double its 2003 sale price of $3.1million.

Apparently a house like this doubles its asking price every six or seven years.
