Converge is ready to reassert its claim on the upper echelons of the heavy music world with a new album next month.

The band's 'Axe to Fall' arrives in stores Oct. 20 from Epitaph Records. The 13-track album was produced by guitarist Kurt Ballou in his GodCity Studios in Salem, Mass. It follows up 2006's 'No Heroes'.
